Close friends of Laura Whitmore have spoken out about the BAFTA awards controversy and insisted nothing happened between the MTV star and Leonardo DiCaprio.
After they met on the BAFTA red carpet, the Hollywood actor was said to have invited the Bray native back to his hotel room, however insiders have insisted nothing happened.
Laura’s pals told the Sunday World that the TV presenter was invited back to the actor’s suite along with a host of other people and wasn’t alone with the Wolf of Wall Street star.

The 30-year-old’s London buddies were also quick to point out that Laura is still dating musician Rory Williams.
Rumours swirled after Laura and Leo were seen chatting at a BAFTA after party hosted by Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein.
The actor reportedly cupped the Wicklow native’s face in his hand and whispered in her ear.

A spokesperson for the I’m A Celeb host has since reiterated that nothing happened between the two.
“Laura did not spend the night with Leo. She was with a group of people who were all part of the BAFTA celebrations.”
