Police in the UK have rushed to Buckingham Palace after reports of a suspicious vehicle abandoned at the royal residence.
Shocked tourists were immediately cleared from the area surrounding the Queen’s residence as investigations begin following the discovery of the vehicle shortly after 2pm today.
Video footage posted to Twitter by Bystanders shows ambulances rushing to the scene amid the chaos.

City of Westminster Police tweeted confirming that specialist officers are attending the scene.
“Officers, including specialist officers, are assessing a suspicious vehicle in Constitution Hill, SW1.”
“Cordons are in place while emergency services deal. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.”

One bystander tweeted that Police are “screaming” at passersby to get to a safe distance from the Palace.
“Something is going down around Buckingham,” writes @kayjaysnark
“Way more than normal police presence and the police are screaming at people to move to “the end of the mall.”
In a second tweet, they said: “They are chasing individuals down by police van and telling them to go. Just saw a police van with 8+ officers cruise down Marlborough Road.”
