Queen Elizabeth is reportedly set to pass over a patronage to Meghan Markle in the new year.
There are said to be “discussions” going on at the moment, as the royals try to decide which patronage will be passed on to the Duchess.
According to The Times, Prince Harry and his wife met with the Queen last week to discuss the matter and the official announcement is set to take place in January or February.
The 37-year-old is set to visit each organisation she plans to become a patron of before she takes maternity leave and they are all going to reflect Meghan’s main concerns and interests, including education and female empowerment.
The Queen is patron of over six hundred charities and organisations, but handed twenty five patronages to younger members of the royal family last year.
