Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had ‘fridge full of Guinness’ during their Ireland trip

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry enjoyed a “fridge full of Guinness” during their first Royal visit to Ireland last year.

New documents have revealed that the Royals first holiday meal as newlyweds was beef and chicken with an “emphasis on Irish influence” which cost €110.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex ate together in the State guest house Farmleigh, on the edge of Phoenix Park when they first landed.

According to the Irish Mirror the Royals; starters were a choice of Macroom ricotta, mozzarella and Cashel blue terrine with torched fig, semi-dried heirloom tomato and walnut crisp or Kenmare cured salmon, dehydrated caper, crispy quinoa, beetroot pearls and buttermilk foam.

They then enjoyd by slow roast rib eye of beef, Taleggio potato gratin, confit oregano tomato, basil puree and barolo jus, as well as pan roasted manor farm chicken supreme, potato gnocchi, courgette ribbons, tomato and olive oil sauce.

The two desserts were North County Dublin apple and caramel mousse, with poached bramley apple, praline and apple meringue and lemon and black sesame seed tart, torched meringue drops, confit lemon, lime sable and tropical sorbet.

The couple were also treated to bottles of Chateau Chasse-Spleen 2001 claret and Jean-Paul & Benoit Dronin chablis 2009.

According to the report the couple had a private pantry, which had 10 cans of Guinness chilling in their fridge.

They also had Irish craft beers such as O’Haras, Kinsale, Galway Bay and Howling Gale.

The newspaper added that an invoice from the caterers revealed total bill for feeding the royals and their 25 entourage came to just over €3,600 .
