Meghan Markle’s sister Samantha Markle has spoken out following the birth of Baby Sussex.
Samantha has claimed that Duchess Meghan Markle’s estranged father Thomas Markle and some member of the extended family have felt excluded since the birth.
Samantha told the Irish Mirror that she believes royal baby Archie will miss out if not given the opportunity to know his extended family.
“It’s sad. He should have been involved,” she said of her and Meghan’s father Thomas.
“Being excluded is like a dagger through his heart.”
“Poor Master Archie is not getting to know a creative, loving person.”
The Duchess and her father have had a reportedly estranged relationship, particularly after it was alleged that he set up a number of paparazzi photos around the time of the royal wedding.
However, Samantha claims that the family have wanted to patch things up for some time.
“We always have been desperate to heal the rift, but it’s up to Meghan to reach out now.”
“Life is short and precious so I hope having the baby will soften her feelings and she will do the right thing.”
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced they were expecting their first child in October, and their son Archie Harrison Mountbatten Windsor came into the world on Monday, 7th in line to the throne.
