Meghan Markle is reportedly set to get a new royal role.
Last month it was reported that the queen was set to pass on a number of patronages to the former actress in the new year.
MailOnline has since claimed that the 92-year-old is planning to make the Duchess the patron of the National Theatre.
According to royal insiders, the news is set to be announced within days, as Meghan has already started discussions with director of the organisation, Rufus Norris.
The insiders added that the 37-year-old’s acting experience makes her a “natural fit” for the role and that Queen Elizabeth wants to show her “growing confidence” in the Duchess.
