Meghan Markle opens up about the struggle of living in the royal spotlight

Meghan Markle has admitted that life in the royal spotlight is far from easy.

While attending the London premier of The Lion King, the Duchess of Sussex greeted a number of celebrities on the red carpet.

While chatting to musician Pharrell, notoriously private Meghan admitted that things have not been smooth sailing since she joined the royal family.

In a video uploaded to Twitter by @royal_suitor, Pharrell can be seen praising Meghan and Harry’s “wonderful union,” declaring it to be “significant in today’s climate.”

The Duchess responds: “Thank you, they don’t make it easy.”

Pharrell goes on to say: “So happy for your union. Love is amazing. It’s wonderful.”

“Don’t ever take that for granted, but what it means in today’s climate, I just wanted to tell you it’s so significant for so many of us. Seriously.”

Meghan replies in thanks, saying: “That’s so kind of you to say.”

Pharrell goes on: “It’s significant. I cheer you guys on.”

It is then that the Duchess admits: “They don’t make it easy.”

At the same premier, Meghan took the time to have a chat with Beyonce and Jay-Z.

On this week’s The Gosscast, Goss founder Ali Ryan and Editor Kendra Becker discuss this week’s biggest stories – plus go in depth about Love Island’s most recent drama.
