This is how Meghan Markle made guests at her wedding cry

Meghan Markle has been upending royal tradition at every turn and her wedding reception was no exception.

One week ago she was enjoying waking up as the wife of a royal for the first time. Her marriage didn’t slow down the speed at which she was breaking royal rules though, no. In fact, she even broke one immediately after her wedding, at the reception, when she addressed the guests, something which British brides generally don’t do. No royal bride has ever addressed her wedding party before, nevermind read her own poetry.

Guests have been spilling details about her big day a little snippet at a time and one has just gushed to The Sun about a poem the actress read to her 200 guests in Frogmore House. In the piece, she described being “blessed” and how it was “love at first sight” when she met Prince Harry.

A guest told The Sun her two-minute poem “totally stole the show. It was the most special part of the entire day and the most unexpected. She read her poem like the professional actress she is.

“Most of the room was misty-eyed by the final line. Harry looked so proud and had to wipe away a tear. She spoke about their first date and falling in love at first sight.

“Meghan said she knew she had met her prince from the off and how blessed and lucky she feels to have found such a profound love.”
