Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made a secret charity donation in their son Archie’s name.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex donated £4,350 to marine conservation charity Love the Oceans on Just Giving, under the name ‘Archie HMW’.
The money will go towards building a swimming pool in Guinjata Bay, Mozambique to teach the locals how to swim.
The fundraiser was set up by swim coach Adam Knight, who told Harper’s Bazaar: “I said to my colleague, ‘That has to be Harry and Meghan.’
“We made some calls and were able to verify that it was from them, which is just incredible. Without that donation and support this would not be happening.”
It’s believed the royal couple made the donation after Meghan stumbled upon the charity on Instagram.
The news comes ahead of Meghan and Harry’s tour visit to Africa later this month.
The couple and their four-month-old son Archie will travel to South Africa on Sunday, after the pair attended their pal Misha Nonoo’s star-studding wedding in Italy on Friday.
