Meghan Markle and Prince Harry took a commercial flight to Rome this week, to attend the Duchess’ close friend Misha Nonoo’s wedding.

The couple opted to fly commercial, after they recently came under fire for their use of private jets this summer.

The pair flew into Italy to watch Meghan’s fashion designer pal Misha marry her oil tycoon beau Michael Hess.

A source told Fabulous Digital: “They did fly commercial as Meghan was a bit stung by the criticism over her and Harry’s use of private jets.”

The insider added: “Misha helped introduce Harry to Meghan and the two women are the best of friends.”

“Meghan wasn’t going to miss her wedding for the world. They’ve left Archie at home but it’s only for a couple of days and they will be back on Saturday.”

The wedding is set to be a star-studded affair, as a host of well-known faces are on the guest list – including Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom, Ellie Goulding, Karlie Kloss, as well as Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Krushner.

Fellow members of the royal family, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, are also expected to attend.

Meghan and Harry’s trip to Italy comes just days before the couple will start their royal tour in southern Africa on Monday.
