2FM presenter Eoghan McDermott has accused Today FM’s Dermot and Dave of “stealing” his ideas for their programme.
The RTE star said it was “bulls**t” to discover they had nicked his segment, where he takes lyrics from a song and Google Translates them through a number of languages.
The Voice co-host there was “shock and horror” to be told by his producer they were using his segment – Lost In Translation – which he came up with in 2011 while working for XFM in London.

In an on-air rant, he said: “Low and behold, my surprise, shock and horror to be informed today by producer Trace that she had been told that a rival radio station show, Dermot and Dave from Today FM, had been doing something similar.
“I couldn’t believe it. I said, this can’t be true. Two reputable radio presenters, albeit from a rival station, these men have integrity. They wouldn’t stoop so low as to blatantly steal from another show.
“So we went and procured the audio from their show.”
