Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight has revealed that he’s currently writing the scripts for season four and said they’re “the best yet.”
Season three ended on a cliff hanger as the Shelby family are taken away by the police in hand cuffs after a jewel robbery goes wrong.
When asked about the future of Peaky Blinders, the writer said, “Im very, very excited because I’m just completing Episode 6 of Series 4, which again I think is the best yet.
“And I’m loving it and it’s not like work, it’s not like a labor, I love doing it, the boys are coming back and they’re loving the scripts, we start shooting in March.”

By ‘the boys’, Steven not only refers to Cillian Murphy and the rest of the actors in the Shelby clan but also Tom Hardy, who he confirmed will be back.
When asked whether Tom would return as Alfie in season 4, Steven told Deadline, “Of course. We can’t do it without Alfie.”
The director also spoke about working with Tom Hardy, “I think what helps is that we don’t socialise, we don’t really know each other, we purely work together.
“And I think that helps because there has been no formality of friendship, the politeness of friendship, so we can just work directly on the work that’s ahead of us.”
