I am terrible for exploring my own city, so when I get the opportunity to stay in hotels around Dublin I always jump at the chance.
I have to say I was more than pleasantly surprised by The Beacon Hotel, in Sandyford Dundrum.
I am a bridesmaid for my sisters wedding so I know all about organising hen parties, girlie nights and hotels and the new Vintage Tea Party package in the Beacon is just perfect.
I was so surprised at the prices first of all. The Beacon Hotel is known for it’s luxury – designer rooms, fancy restaurants, stunning cocktails – so I was shocked to find out the Vintage Tea Party package is only €149 per person.
The Package
For €149 you get to go back to the 20’s and learn some new makeup techniques from top makeup artists.
One night stay in a luxurious room, experience the yummy two course a la carte meal in My Thai, free parking and a Full Irish Breakfast.
Plus there is the Vintage Tea Party itself which as well as getting your makeup done you also get to indulge in fancy tea, and all things sweet and savoury.

But I would even recommend The Beacon for a romantic getaway for two.
Although you are so close to Dundrum Shopping Centre and a Luas away from town, it’s nice to feel like you are far away from the city madness to relax.
Although there is no spa in the hotel you can order treatments and pamper sessions to your room, and trust me when I say you won’t want to leave your room once you get there.
Modern and fresh: The rooms in The Beacon are lavish to say the least
With a modern feel you can relax in the all white rooms, enjoy a long soak in the bath, or switch on the TV.
There is also plenty of room to work if you have to and always a big plus…there’s free wifi so you can have your laptop, iPad or phone on hand at any time.
Or if you’re like me you can enjoy some selfies in the very handy long mirror (very important really).

I don’t know about you but I actually love staying in hotels, and I love hotel rooms.
I know celebrities always complain that they hate “living their lives out of a suitcase” but honestly that’s my dream.
One part of that dream is getting breakfast in bed, so of course I indulged during my stay.
Like I said this place is perfect for a couple but definitely a completely steal for a girl’s night out. Be it a hen party or a work due.
