Wondering how to get a bit of drink this Friday? All you need is a boat.
La Peniche restaurant on the Grand Canal is a barge with a full bar, and has a special license to serve alcohol on Good Friday.
Why you ask? Well that’s because once the barge is moving La Peniche technically becomes a “cruise boat” and therefore can do whatever they want really.
So sit back relax with a glass of prosecco or a few beers there on Friday – that’s if you can still get a reservation.
