Dublin’s Fade Street Social given food safety closure order

Fade Street Social was forced to close down in July after being served a food safety closure order.

The popular restaurant is owned by Masterchef star Dylan McGrath who owns two other restaurants and two bars.

The FSAI issued the order to the restaurant but never disclosed why they had to close it down.

Closed: Dylan McGrath had to close his restaurant down for a day | FADE STREET SOCIAL

A spokesperson for Fade Street Social admitted that they had to close down because of a minor drain/plumbing issue

“[The issue was] rectified as soon as it was brought to our attention,” a spokesperson told The Irish Times about why they closed for a day.

“We let our customers know straight away and were back trading by lunchtime the next day.”

The swanky spot later took to their Facebook page to inform their customers why they had to close for a day in July.

“We would like to apologise to all out customers for Friday 15th of July,” they wrote.

“We had a plumbing issue that had to be fixed and we had no alternative but to close on the Friday night.

“Sorry, hope this didn’t cause too much inconvenience.”
