8 Places To Go For A Pint On Paddy's Day In Dublin

Paddy’s Day celebrations are well and truly underway.

Pubs and clubs across the country will be packed out the door as the national celebrates our favourite holiday.

If you’re in the Big Shmoke for the day, why not pop into some of these spots after the parade?

Sure it would only be rude not to…

1. Guiness Storehouse

The Guinness Storehouse are celebrating Paddy’s Day with a five day festival.

It’s their tenth year in a row celebrating the national holiday in style and a great place to grab a pint of the black stuff.

The festivites kicked off on Wednesday, 16th March 2016 and runs till Sunday, 20th March with a series of contemporary Irish experiences including special performances by popular Irish rock group Na Fíanna.

2. Bar Rua

Bar Rua are giving away free drinks for red head’s on Paddy’s Day.

Yes you read that right, if you’re ginger or have a ginger mate this is the place to be today.

We have to celebrate the red heads sometimes!

3. The Temple Bar

We’ve all seen the pictures of Temple Bar from the sky last year on Paddy’s Day.

If you’re brave enough to venture into the cobble stones on Ireland’s national holiday, this is a good spot to have a pint and meet lots of tourists (well on it probably).

Good luck and God speed.

4. Pygmalion

A long time favourite of hipsters and city slickers, Pyg is a great spot for a cheeky few.

The South William St. venue has a big outside area for you to relax and enjoy the day’s festivities.

Better get down early though, you can be sure they’ll be packed out all day.

5. Grand Social

Grand Social is the place to be on Paddy’s Day.

It’s a great spot for dancing and if you’re a fan of house music, Paddy’s Eve is the perfect night to go.

DJ Tod Terry will be on the decks playing your favourite dance classics while Bas Mooy and Ansome will also be joining the party.

6. O’Donoghue’s

O’Donoghue’s are always great for a trad session so we’re guessing they’ll be going all out for Paddy’s Day.

It was once good enough for Rihanna’s impromtu Thanksgiving dinner, so it’s good enough for us.

If you’re looking for a traditional venue with great craic then this is perfect!

7. L. Mullingan Grocer

Craft beer lovers, L. Mullingan Grocer is the place for you.

A favourite for North-siders, you’re bound to bump into a few familiar faces here.

You can only have so many vodka shots in Temple Bar before you start to feel queasy…
