WATCH: Gorillaz return with anti-Trump track

The music video is VERY creepy

The Gorillaz have returned to the music world and their first track is very anti-Donal Trump.

After six years, the band are back on the day of Donald’s inauguration with Hallelujah and a creepy music video to match.

Speaking about their new single, bassist Murdoc said, “In these dark times, we all need someone to look up to.”

“That’s why Im giving you this new Gorillaz song, a lightning bolt of truth in a black night,” he told NME magazine.

“You’re welcome. Now p*ss on. The new album’s not gonna write itself.”

Strangely for the animated group, the music video features none of the band members bar their silhouettes – the only person seen is Benjamin Clementine, who provides vocals for the track, and images from the Klu Klux Klan to images inside Trump Towers.

The single features lyrics like “The best way to protect our dream is by building walls,” referencing Donald’s most famous political quotes and others like “Hello my friend, is this the end.”
