Gay Byrne has insisted he would have managed to single-handedly resolve the Garth Brooks fiasco.
The US country star broke hearts when he pulled out of all five Croke Park shows after not getting permission to play more than four.

Now Gaybo said if he was still the Late Late Show host, he would have made sure three gigs did happen at Croker.
“I would have had an entire Late Late Show about it, with all the interested parties present in the studio,” he said.
“And I’d have sorted it out and he’d have done three shows.”
Meanwhile Gay said that he thinks the Late Late Show will outlast Graham Norton and Jonathan Ross’ shows.

He said: “That’s a fashion that we’re going through and eventually that fashion will run out of steam.”
He added to the Herald: “No show in the world compared to the Late Late Show and gained the affection of its audience, per head of population, like it did.
“There is always room for a talk show of that kind.”
