Sinead O'Connor wants to sound like Amy Winehouse – by working with Mark Ronson

Sinead O’Connor has told how she wants to follow in the footsteps of Amy Winehouse – by working with her producer.

The Take Me To Church singer said she thinks Mark Ronson is “f**ing incredibly brilliant” after his work with the tragic singer.

He produced Valerie and her Back to Black album before Amy’s death, as well as working with Lily Allen and Adele on their biggest-selling records.

And asked who she wants to collaborate with, Sinead said it had to be Mark.

She said: “The person I would absolutely love to work with is the producer Mark Ronson.

“Because he’s just so f**king incredibly brilliant, and so am I. I like the stuff he did with Amy Winehouse.”

Shock: People couldn’t believe Sinead’s transformation

And Sinead also opened up on her shocking new image in a webchat with the Guardian – insisting she only did it as a publicity stunt.

“It’s not my new image, as you can see, it was a cold-blooded publicity stunt. And it worked. I wanted to draw attention to my album, my absolutely fan-f**king-tastic album,” she said.

“And no-one’s ever seen me looking remotely like a female, so I knew they’d run the shots if they saw me with the hair and latex. And they’d have to mention the album.”
