Sinead O'Connor has given up on love – after just four failed marriages

After four failed marriages, Sinead O’Connor has finally revealed she is done with love.

The Nothing Compares 2 U singer said she is “the only one I should adore,” in an admission that she is giving up on finding the perfect man.

And Sinead – singing on her new single Take Me To Church – said she doesn’t want “to be that girl no more” and has vowed never to write another love song.

“I don’t want to love the way I loved before. I don’t want to love that way no more,” she sings.

“What have I been writing love songs for? I don’t want to write them any more. I don’t want to sing from where I sang before.

“I don’t want to sing that way no more. What have I been singing love songs for? I don’t want to sing them any more. I don’t want to be that girl no more.

“I don’t want to cry no more. I don’t want to die no more. So cut me down from this, cut the rope from off of me. Set me on the floor. I’m the only one I should adore.”

It comes months after the 47-year-old briefly reunited this year with her fourth husband, Barry Herridge, before days later going back on the separation.

Previously they had been married for just 17 days after announcing their Las Vegas nuptials were over and Sinead – who had looked for a man on online dating sites – was single again.

The Wicklow singer adds on her new song from I’m Not Bossy, I’m The Boss that she’s “done so many bad things it hurts”.
