Shane Filan has revealed that Westlife are no longer friends, admitting: “We definitely have drifted apart.”
The Sligo singer – who is working on a solo career – revealed he barely meets his old bandmates despite the bond of 14 years on the road together.
And Shane admitted it is similar to the way you drift apart from school friends when going to college.
“It is kind of like you go to school with someone for a very long time and then you go to different colleges.

“If we see each other it’s great but we don’t keep in touch regularly and we don’t call each other.
“People finish bands and drift apart. We definitely have drifted apart,” he told the Irish Mirror.
It comes as Shane is working on releasing his autobiography, My Side Of Life, which is due out next month.
