Rita Ora hits out at Jay Z’s record label for being ‘sexist’ and talks affair rumours

Rita Ora has revealed she feels she was discriminated against in Jay-Z’s record label.

The British singer, who got her start with the rapper when he signed her to his label Roc Nation, has now said she thinks she was the victim of sexism.

“I want to find the right word here, and maybe this is my interpretation, but I do feel I got discriminated against because I was a woman,” she told the Sunday Times magazine.

Rita, 27, previously filed a lawsuit to get out of her contract with the label, accusing them of neglecting her for other artists.

But Roc Nation later counter-sued and then settled the case in 2016.

“I almost felt – maybe this is just my interpretation – I could have had a better chance if I’d been male,” she added.

Rita was previously embroiled in rumours she was “Becky with the good hair” in the midst of her legal battle with Roc Nation.

However in today’s interview Rita denied the claims.

“Hey, all I want to say to that is, dude, if I were Becky with the good hair, wouldn’t I actually have to have good hair? Look at it. It’s all weave and extensions.
