Not again! Gig promoters still trying to make all FIVE Garth Brooks shows go ahead

All five Garth Brooks shows could still go ahead – as Aiken Promotions have launched a last ditch legal bid to salvage the shows.

Boss Peter Aiken and the GAA are looking to meet with Environment Minister Alan Kelly in a bid to push for a judicial review.

They are making an application before the High Court today, would could over turn the ruling by Dublin City Council refusing all five shows at Croke Park.

It is the only way that the shows could take place, and Peter Aiken insisted it would have to take place today.

It came as Mr Aiken was speaking before an Oireachtas committee looking into the mess of the US country star’s shows.

He added that he had lost a “seven figure” sum by axing the shows, while Garth had lost millions.

Hitting out at Dublin City Council’s handling of the fiasco, he said: “This is like an episode of Father Ted.”

He added: “This was our moment. It was our equivalent of Springsteen doing 10 shows in Giants Stadium.”
