Mark Feehily insists there is 'not a single bit of bad blood' between Westlife despite never seeing each other

Mark Feehily has insisted there is ‘not a single bit of bad blood’ between Westlife – despite the band never seeing each other.

Several members of the pop group have been open about the fact that they have not kept in contact since the split, with Nicky Byrne previously revealing that the boys have “nothing to talk about”.

But despite the lack of contact, Mark insisted that the lads do try to see each other when they can, but they are all just busy doing their own thing.

He said: “Even though we don’t see each other the whole time, people are quick to jump to conclusions that we are not getting on.

“There is not a single bit of bad blood between us and I love the lads as much now as I ever did.

“We try to see each other as much as possible. We were with Westlife for 15 years and of course Shane, Kian and myself went to school together.

“When Westlife finished, we said that we would put time into doing our own individual projects. We have all been busy with our separate things and doing what we are doing.”

While Mark is spending most of his time lately in London and America recording his first solo album, the pop star revealed that when Westlife ended, he moved back home to Sligo.

“I am mostly in London now and America while working on the album and writing. Although when Westlife ended, I moved home to Sligo,” he told the Sligo Champion.

“I hadn’t spent a summer in Sligo since I was about 16-years-old as I had been busy touring with Westlife. “It felt great going back, it was really, really nice and I loved being back there.”

He added: “It’s also a great place to be able to write songs too and I try to get over as much as I can.”

Mark, 34, also admitted that one of his dreams is to perform a solo concert back in his hometown.

“I would absolutely love to perform a solo concert in Sligo. It would be a dream and hopefully one day that can happen.”

“I have to take it one step at a time but it would be one of the coolest things ever and I would love to do it.”
