‘Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again’ soundtrack tops charts

‘Mamma Mia! Here Wo Go Again’ is topping album charts in Ireland, the U.S. and U.K.

The musical hit screens on 20th July and fans are loving the soundtrack, with many people also listening to ABBA’s album, Gold — Greatest Hits, which consists of the band’s well-known songs.

“It is fantastic news that the soundtrack to ‘Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again’ has gone to Number 1,” the film’s producer, Judy Craymer, told OfficialCharts.com.

The film’s soundtrack is No. 89 on Billboard’s 200 list, while ABBA’s 1992 greatest hits album has moved up to No. 86 on the charts.

Ten songs from the soundtrack are on the UK iTunes Top 100, with Cher’s cover of ‘Fernando’ being the most popular song from the album

Meanwhile, the album has made it to No. 1 on the Official Irish Albums Chart, climbing five places since the film’s release on 20th July.
