Louis Walsh has urged Janet Grogan to show Simon Cowell what a mistake he made axing her from X Factor – by representing Ireland at Eurovision.
The X Factor judge admitted he “can’t believe” the TV show was the first time that he heard of the Dublin singer.
And Louis, 61, admits he battled with all three other judges try and stop Simon from dumping her.

He said: “I told Simon he was making a big mistake sending off Janet but he just wouldn’t listen that day.
“I told him he should keep her above all the others, now he really regrets it but it’s too late.
“I can’t believe I have never heard of Janet Grogan before. She’s a real talent and a fantastic performer.
“I just love her. She… should go for something like Eurovision.”

The Mayo man also admitted he battled to save Orla – with Goss.ie telling earlier how he’s brought her back for the live shows as his wildcard.
He said: “Mel B and I thought Cheryl was crazy. We both tried to tell Cheryl that Orla was one of her better singers. Mel B told Cheryl she’d made a huge mistake but she didn’t listen.”
