Hometown moving to Japan after signing HUGE record deal

They’re aiming to become the next One Direction and Hometown have just moved one step closer to world domination.

The Irish boyband – comprised of Cian Morrin, Dayl Cronin, Dean Gibbons, Josh Gray, Ryan McLoughlin and Brendan Murray – have signed a huge record deal in Japan and are set to move there later this year.

Speaking on Saturday Night with Miriam, their manager Louis Walsh said: “Hometown are going to be moving to Japan full time. They’re after getting a really big record deal out there, like a proper deal. They’re great guys, so I’m very hopeful for them.”

This comes after the group won over a host of new fans with a song written by 1D’s Liam Payne.

Liam tweeted out their video for The Night We Met and they were thrilled with the response.

Cian told The Sun: “We have had so many people write to us saying Liam Payne took them to our music and they weren’t expecting it to be much, but they listened to it and loved it.

“And now we are seeing more views on our other videos from all around the world. When we first heard it initially we didn’t know it was Liam’s song.

“We loved the song, we wouldn’t have recorded it solely just on his name – because people don’t leave a song on the radio just because of who wrote it if it is not strong enough.”
