“I signed (the record deal) before Christmas so I was there today getting my visa and stuff so I’m going on Sunday to New York,” Gavin told Goss.ie

“I got a meeting with the label and stuff and we’re doing a gig on top of capital so that’s gonna be really fun, it’s gonna be mad.”

Meanwhile, the Dubliners star continues to rise in the US with a gig at the famous Oscar Wilde party lined up during Oscars week.

While Gavin is looking forward to the gig, he admitted that the big names on the guest list will leave him star struck.

“Literally during the song, I’m just gonna stop and go ‘Oh my god'” he told Goss.ie

“I have no idea who is gonna be there, I heard everyone that’s Irish goes to it like Colin Farrell and JJ Abrams. Last year Tom Cruise went I think, if he came I’d be like ‘oh my god’, I’d freak out a lot.”
