Garth Brooks reveals he wants to return to play in Ireland

Garth Brooks has revealed he wants to return to Ireland to play in the city’s capital.

The ongoing saga of will-he-won’t-he has been going on for over two years, having recently squashed rumours that he was set to play Dublin’s Croke Park in 2017.

“There’s a place that I haven’t played yet that I’ve played before, if this makes any sense? Dublin, Ireland… Cross my heart I’ll get to play there again, I’d love to play there again,” he admitted.

The Oklahoma native admitted that he has been lucky to play in many places but it’s the sincerity of the people that want to hear his music that gets him to the places.

“I’ve been lucky to play in a lot of places,” he said in a Facebook post.

“I don’t think I’ll get to play in all the places I want to play because the main ingredient is the sincerity of the people that want to hear it, that’s what it’s all about.

The singer had previously admitted that it was the hardest day in music for him when he was told he wouldn’t be able to play in the city.

“I can tell you, next to losing my mom, that might have been the hardest day ever for me in music,” he recently told Billboard Magazine.

“That’s how much it hurt. I just don’t get it. To this day I scratch my head. I cannot figure this one out.”

There were rumours circulating that the singer was set to return to Irish soil to play at Pairc Ui Chaoimhe in 2017 but the country star’s representative says they have “no such plans.”
