Garth Brooks expected to announce world tour after arriving in Ireland

Garth Brooks looks set to announce a world tour – just hours after he touches down in Ireland for his record-breaking shows.

The US country star will be arriving on July 25 for the first of five sold-out concerts at Croke Park.

Now it has emerged he will use his time here to announce “big news” in a press conference just before his first gig.

“Garth will give a press conference on the afternoon of his first concert on Friday, July 25,” a source told the Star.

“He could be releasing some big news or he might just chat about his excitement before his first big show, who knows.

“But if he wants to announce something big to the world, the eve of his first comeback concert would be the perfect time to do it.”

The 52-year-old hasn’t gone on a world tour since 1998, but admitted earlier this year he would like to go back out on the road.
