Áine Cahill has revealed why she won’t duet with Gavin James, even though she wouldn’t mind.
The singers have performed together before and most recently took to the stage together at the 2FM Xmas Ball in 2016.
However, the Cavan native admitted to Goss.ie that she doesn’t know if she will create a duet with the musician.
“I don’t know. I wouldn’t mind but I think we’re very different, our styles,” she said.

Áine explained that she think their voices do go well together – but she’s darker.
“I don’t know but I do think our voices go really well together,” she told Goss.ie.
“I’m darker than Gavin.”

Áine opened up on her first time performing with Gavin at the launch for TV3’s 2016 autumn launch – and also revealed that she didn’t know she was going to be singing with him.
“I was approached asking do I wanna do a song. I thought ‘Yeah, I don’t mind,’ and initially it was that New World Coming song, then it was changed to Diamonds,” she said.
“They were like ‘Gavin James is going to come’ – I thought ‘What the hell?’ Because [my bandmate] Louise loves Gavin and I remember when we first started she said ‘Imagine if we ever got to meet him’ just at a gig or at Electric picnic, anything. And then it actually happened.
“He’s lovely and he’s just so talented, his vocals are so perfect. We got to play with him there then at the 3 Arena as well.
“I think our vocals do really match well together and he’s really sound.”
