Ariana Grande has finally released her new single 7 Rings, alongside an amazing music video.
For those who don’t know, the singer penned the song after she gifted herself and six of her friends rings from Tiffany & Co, after she had a “pretty rough day” in NYC.
Ariana and her friends took a trip to Tiffany’s after her very high profile split from Pete Davidson.
The singer split from the SNL comedian one month after her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller suddenly passed away – and Ariana references how tough the past year has been in her new song.
In the song, Ariana sings, “Been through some bad s**t / I should be a sad b***h / Who woulda thought it’d turn me to a savage…”
The music video also features one of Mac’s best friends, singer-songwriter Njomza. Mac and Njomza frequently worked together, and she even performed at his tribute concert last October.
The 25-year-old’s beloved pooch Toulouse also makes an appearance, but Ariana has since explained that his cameo wasn’t actually planned, but they had to include him as he “literally wouldn’t leave” her side while filming.
“7 Rings” is the second single from Ariana’s upcoming album, ‘Thank U, Next’.
