Is Ed Sheeran set to perform at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding?

What an honour!

Prince Harry has reportedly asked Ed Sheeran to perform at his upcoming wedding to Meghan Markle.

The couple are set to exchange vows in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on May 19 – and it looks like Ed has been asked to sing on their big day.

A source has reportedly told Us Weekly, “Prince Harry has personally requested Ed perform at his wedding.”

When asked if he would perform at the royal wedding back in December,  Ed said, “Yeah, why not?”

However, the royal wedding falls on the same day as Ed’s Phoenix Park gig in Dublin – but Ed could travel back and forth from the UK in a matter of hours for the big occasion.

The news comes after it was rumoured that Elton John is set to perform at Harry and Meghan’s wedding – as he cancelled two scheduled gigs in Las Vegas that were set to take place on the same weekend as the wedding.

In an interesting turn of events, Ed’s rumoured ex Ellie Goulding performed a cover of Elton John’s Your Song at Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding back in 2011, which was reportedly one of the late Princess Diana’s favourite songs.
