Drake confirms he has a son on new album Scorpion

The rapper says "the kid is mine" on his new record

Drake has finally confirmed that he has a son on his new album, Scorpion.

It’s long been rumoured that the 31-year-old fathered a child, named Adonis, with former adult-film star Sophie Brussaux – and now the rapper has confirmed what everyone already knew.

The Canadian star dropped his new double album Scorpion today, and Drake seems to addresses his relationship with Sophie by referencing Michael Jackson’s hit song Billie Jean in the song ‘March 14’.

“She’s not my lover like Billie Jean but the kid is mine/ Sandi used to tell me all it takes it one time, and all it took was one time/ S—, we only met two times, two times,” he raps, referring to his own mother Sandi Graham.

“I used to challenge my parents on every album/ Now I’m embarrassed to tell them I ended up as a co-parent/ Always promised the family unit/ I wanted it to be different because I’ve been through it.”

On the track, Drake opens up about being a father, but admits that he’s only met his son once at Christmas time.

He raps, “I got an empty crib in my empty crib/ I only met you one time, introduced you to Saint Nick/ I think he must’ve brought you like twenty gifts/ Your mother say you growing so fast that they don’t even really fit/But man, you know, I still had to get it for my boy though, you know.”

Drake also confirmed his son was born on October 11, and in his track ‘Emotionless’, which samples Mariah Carey, Drake confesses, “I wasn’t hiding my kid from the world/I was hiding the world from my kid.”

Rumours that Drake had fathered a son re-emerged last month, when Pusha T released a diss track called ‘The Story of Adidon,’ in which he claimed that Drake had a secret love child.

Pusha also alleged that Drake was waiting to reveal his son to the world as part of an “Adidas press run”.

Pusha told The Breakfast Club, “Allegedly his new line on Adidas is called Adidon, which is named after Adonis, his son. Who rolls out their child with a sweatsuit? Get outta here. What are you doing?”

After Pusha’s diss track hit headlines, TMZ reported that Drake has been “financially supporting” Sophie Brussaux since before she gave birth.
