Cheryl confirms her plans to release a new single – despite comeback criticism

The singer has revealed a release date

Cheryl has confirmed her plans to release her next single in March.

The Geordie beauty released her comeback single Love Made Me Do It back in November, but unfortunately the single only reached number 19 in the UK charts.

The 34-year-old was also largely criticised for her performance on The X Factor, but despite this, Cheryl will release her new single in about two months time.

Speaking on The One Show, Cheryl revealed that her next single will be “more up tempo”.

The former Girls Aloud star also teased that she may perform on The Greatest Dancer, which she appears on as a judge alongside Strictly pro Oti Mabuse and Glee’s Matthew Morrison.

She said: “I’m just sat there constantly like wowed, I never really think about my dance history, but when we get to the lives we’re going to be dancing with our contestants.”

However, Cheryl quickly realised that she may have slipped out a spoiler, as she turned to Oti and said, “Am I allowed to say that?” before Oti replied, “Well you’ve said it now!”

The Greatest Dancer airs on Saturday at 8pm on BBC One.
