Beyoncé has released the official music video for her hit new song, Spirit.
The song features on the brand new soundtrack for Disney’s live-action remake of The Lion King.
Beyoncé lends her voice to the part of Nala in the film.
“This soundtrack is a love letter to Africa,” she told ABC News.
“And I wanted to make sure we found the best talent from Africa, and not just use some of the sounds and did my interpretation of it.”
In the video, Beyoncé pays homage to traditional African dance styles, featuring troups of talented dancers in bright costumes.
In a section of the video, Beyoncé can be seen sitting with daughter Blue Ivy, who is aged 7.
Both mother and daughter don red wigs for the scene.
The song feature on the album The Lion King: The Gift, which also includes several new Beyoncé songs as well as contributions from Kendrick Lamar, JAY-Z, Childish Gambino, Pharrell, and Blue Ivy Carter herself.
