BARE Festival lineup additions announced!

The sun has us in a festival frenzy!

If a weekend in grounds fit for  King (literally!) with music, spoken word, DJ’s, comedians, live wrestling and craft beers sounds like your kind of buzz, BARE Festival is for you.

It takes place on the 6th & 7th of July at Borris House in Carlow.

Headliner Obie Trice, of D12 fame, and amazing Irish artists make for a solid lineup. The homegrown talent that will be on show includes: Tebi Rex, Super Silly, JyellowL, Not Monsters, Heroes in Hiding, My Tribe Your Tribe, Cider Wasps, Sun.Set.Ships, Josh Gray, Peco and Kyle Meehan

Spoken word will be served up by Truckstop Honeymoon, Ri Ra, Anna Mullarkey, Shalalak, Scene of the Rhyme, David Jackson, Boundless and Bare, Ciaran Callan and Justin McCann, Davina and The Messengers and more.

Karl Spain, Owen Colgan, Farmer Michael and Kathleen are among some of the comedy acts taking to the stage in Carlow.

Campervans fans will be glad to hear that BARE loves them too so pack up the VW or why not book with Pamper the Camper and have fun in a tent for the weekend, ahem. Or you could party like a Rockstar with the VIP upgrade package – VIP camping, VIP car park, free showers, posh toilets…ah yes definitely worth it!

Train, bus or car, getting the #BARE18 is super easy to get to. There is a free shuttle bus from Bagnelstown train station to the site, you can get bus tickets from Portarlington, Newbridge, Carlow or Kilkenny to Borris. Going via car, hit the M7 then M9 and follow the signs off Junction 6.

If you can’t wait until the festival there’ll be preview performances to get you in the mood for July, BARE is hosting a series of warm-ups – June 1st it’s upstairs at JRB’s Newbridge, June 8th and its Barrow Lodge, Portarlington and June 29th at John Cleere’s Bar & Theatre in Kilkenny.
