Xpose's Michelle Doherty is a big 'hit' in the movie world – as she bags Best Actress awards

She’s best known for presenting on TV3’s Xpose, but Michaell Doherty is quickly becoming a big name in the acting world.

The new mum has won Best Actress for her role in The Hit Producer directed by Kevin De La Isla O’Neill.

Michelle admitted that winning the award was a complete shock as she was not expecting it as it was her first ever lead role.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to receive this award, it was totally unexpected as this was my first lead role so very much appreciated,” she said.

The Donegal star, who had a small role in What Richard Did, picked up the award at the Indie Fest Film Awards.

The Irish feature film was shot entirely in Ireland and received eight awards at the IndieFEST Film Awards.

Previously, Michelle revealed that she wants to work for Xpose again as Karen Koster goes on maternity leave.
