Tony award nominee Sarah Greene says 'fame is scary'

Cork actress Sarah Greene has said her new found fame is hard to deal with.

The Gaiety School of Acting graduate is up for a Tony award this weekend, and revealed that her recent media attention has been frightening.

“I’ve worked for years and no one’s ever paid me any attention. I just do my job and get on with it and it’s lovely. Now, all of a sudden, it’s like something is expected of you,” she said.

“That’s a bit scary, I have to say. But I’m embracing it.”
