And he said on Twitter: “Ireland you are wonderful! Love the country, love the people!”

He had been staying in the Butler Arms Hotel in Waterville, Co Kerry while here.

Security has been over the top on Skellig Michael at the moment with the arrival of Hollywood A-listers to film the flick.

The Unesco World Heritage site has been closed to the public for the last three days.

Hollywood director JJ Abrams has also filmed the newest installment of the franchise in Abu Dhabi and Iceland.

Yesterday, it emerged that WWE star Sheamus O’Shaunessy could be playing Darth Vader in the Star Wars film.

Recently Mark said he was so glad to be asked to be involved in the film.

“I already had a beginning, middle and end. I never thought we’d come back,” he said.

“I thought even if they did a third trilogy, we wouldn’t be involved, because it is really about the new generation of characters.”
