Actress Francesca Cherruault has said that she was honoured to work with Brian Gleeson during her first big movie role.
The 27-year-old star recently starred alongside the Dublin actor in the Irish rom-com, Standby.
“Brian is a genius. He is an absolute genius. he’s an incredible actor and the chemistry he has on screen with Jessica Pare is just amazing,” she told Goss.ie.

“Both of them are just fabulous actors and I learned so much from both of them. They thought me so much,” she said.
“He is such a great actor, I saw him in The Night Alive in London, a play that he did and then obviously he’s such a versatile actor.”
“I really do look up to him and he is someone that I can definitely learn a lot from.”

Francesca also revealed that she shared a special bond on set with Mad Men actress Jessica Pare.
The actress shared a special language with the star, which was a mix of French and English – Franglais.
“It was really nice working with Jessica because obviously she is French Canadian and I’m half French,” she said.
“We had that really nice bond of being able to speak Franglais together – that sort of mixture between English and French.”

The British actress who is also a film producer admitted it took her a while to get to grips with the Irish banter.
“It took me a couple of days to get used to the Irish banter and to really understand everything,” she said.
“Then I remembered that someone said to me one night, ‘If you just say yes even if you don’t understand, they will just keep going and then eventually you’ll understand what they’re saying.'”
“And I just started doing that and it actually really worked but yeah it takes a couple of days but then you just back into it but then next thing you know I’m speaking Irish.”
