Sex and the City 3 would have KILLED off a major character

Mr Big would have been killed off in ‘Sex and the City 3’, according to reports.

Mr Big, who was played by Chris Noth, played a monumental part in Carrie’s (Sarah Jessica Parker) journey throughout the series – and the pair eventually got married in the first SATC film.

On an episode of the Origins podcast, James Andrew Miller revealed that Mr. Big was going to be killed off early on in the third film, after suffering a heart attack.

Discussing the plot of the third film, James said: “They point to the fact that it calls for Mr. Big to die of a heart attack in the shower, relatively early on in the film, making the remainder of the movie more about how Carrie recovers from Big’s death than about the relationship between the four women.”

However SATC fans will never see the third film as Kim Cattall, who played Samantha, did not want to be a part of it, as she allegedly did not get along with her co-stars.

The journalist continued to highlight how he didn’t think the film’s humour matched the successful series: “I really hate corny stuff and it could be because I’m a little bit of a cynic, like, the whole thing at the end of the movie in the shoe closet— hated it.”

Despite his criticism, the actor admitted if the third film went ahead he would be on board.
