Alicia Vikander looked sensational on the red carpet for the premiere of her new film, Tomb Raider, in Los Angeles.

The 29-year-old opted for her favourite designer Louis Vuitton, turning heads in a gold and black couture number at the TCL Chinese Theatre.

The Oscar-winning actress, who married Irish-German actor Michael Fassbender last year, has been busy jetting all over the world in recent weeks, as she promotes the brand new Tomb Raider reboot.

The Swedish star took over the reigns from Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft, the fiercely independent daughter of a missing adventurer, who must push herself beyond her limits when she finds herself on the island where her father disappeared.

The first Tomb Raider game was published in 1996 by video game company Eidos, and soon became one of the most successful video games of all time, selling over 45 million copies worldwide.

Paramount’s two Tomb Raider films, starring Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft, were released in 2001 and 2003 and brought in $432 million worldwide.

As for future projects, Alicia is currently filming new sci-fi monster thriller Freak Shift with Armie Hammer, which is due out in 2019.
