Mrs Browns Boys creator Brendan 'insisted' on Irish premiere for movie

Mrs Brown’s Boys creator Brendan O’Carroll forced producers to have the movie premiere in Ireland.

The comedian, who is screening Mrs Brown’s Boys D’Movie tonight, was told to have the premiere in London.

But the creator insisted the world first screening would be in Dublin. Star of the show Rory Cowan told Goss.ie:

“They said they wanted the premiere in London and Brendan said ‘no it has to happen in Dublin we are not having a UK premiere’.

“You can only have one premiere and he wanted it to be in Dublin.

The actor added that shooting the movie on Dublin streets was perfect.

“The idea of bringing her to Ireland for the first time to film here in the movie, it was just fabulous. We had brilliant weather, it was a joy to do.
