Katherine Lynch wants her own movie – but will Sheila Chic feature?

TV comedian Katherine Lynch has revealed she hopes to make her own movie.

The RTE star – who is known for her alter-ego Sheila Chic – thinks it could happen after Mrs Brown’s Boys D’Movie made it on screen.

However Katherine admitted it would be tough to make happen.

“A movie would be the stuff of dreams, but it just doesn’t happen for everyone,” she told the Herald.

“Comedy is a tough world and there is a lot of karma involved.”

And Katherine, who missed out on a role in Brendan O’Carroll’s film, is hoping for one in the next installment.

“Steven Spielberg said he had something lined up for me and he said I wasn’t allowed to over-expose myself,” she laughed. “But of course I’d absolutely love a role in the next one.”

Now Katherine is working on a secret project for UK station Channel 5, which is understood to have been commissioned by former TV3 boss Ben Frow who is now in charge there.

“Fingers crossed it works out but at the end of the day it’s all a gamble,” she added.
