Joe Duffy admits he's 'terrible' in Mrs Brown's movie – despite playing himself

Radio presenter Joe Duffy has admitted he’s terrible in Mrs Brown’s Boys D’Movie – despite playing himself.

And the Liveline host was so bad he thought that movie producers were going to cut his scene from the flick.

“I’m dreadful in it. I get my accent all wrong. I can’t even play myself properly,” he said.

But Joe – who “can’t wait for it to be released” – told the Herald that he has a massive role in the movie.

“My scene is actually a really important scene,” he said. “I didn’t know it at the time but it’s pivotal for the whole film.”

Trailers show that Mrs Brown is being interviewed by him in the RTE studios, although no more detail on his role has been revealed.

His admission comes ahead of the movie – written by Brendan O’Carroll – having its premiere this evening in Dublin.

Previously Joe played Mrs Brown’s dead husband and a psychic in the BBC programme.
