EXCLUSIVE! Hollywood star Luke Evans tips Irish Dracula Untold director for stardom

Actor Luke Evans has said Dublin director Gary Shore is set to make it big in Hollywood.

Luke, who has had starring roles in Fast and Furious and The Hobbit, is now the lead in Gary’s Dracula Untold.

Speaking to Goss.ie Luke said Gary is on the brink of stardom.

“The world owns Gary Shore now, he’s going to be a big star,” he said.

“He’s a bright light in the directorial world and he’s representing Dublin and Ireland in a very big way and he’s done such a good job,” he said.

Luke made the comments at the Dublin premiere of the movie, with all proceeds going to St Francis Hospice.

Speaking at The red carpet event Luke said it was a great experience shooting the movie.

“It was about telling a different story, telling the origin story, it’s never been done before and that’s exciting.

“We weren’t rehashing a storyline we were telling a story that hadn’t been told so it was nice as an actor to tell the beginnings of what the most famous vampire that was ever written about,” he said.

Meanwhile director Gary admitted he was overwhelmed by the fans at the Dublin premiere at the Savoy Cinema.

“I’m really happy it’s here now. It’s pretty amazing  I was so surprised to see the welcome,” he told Goss.ie.

“I’m pretty proud of what we’ve done, it’s a great movie and a big achievement and I had such an incredible crew.”

Gary was joined by his fiance Ciara Cullen, who he is set to wed this year.
