Fair City actress Ciara Rose Burke is headed for LA after her new horror film got a premiere at the Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival.
Ciara. who played Annie O’Hara in the RTE soap, plays the lead role in the horror flick Invoked, which was shot in Sligo alongside Love/Hate star Patrick Murphy.
“We filmed it over a week in Sligo. So for a feature length film, it was super hard to get it done in a week but we did it,” she said.
“The film wasn’t up for any awards but it premiered in the hopes of getting a US distributor,” Ciara said of the LA premiere.

“It was so surreal to see your movie up on billboards in Hollywood especially when we
did it ourselves. It was amazing,” she told the Herald.
“I got a few offers while I was in LA so I’m planning to move over there next year to take
them up,” she said.
“There’s a few things in the pipeline and Redline Films who produced the movie are planning
on opening an office in LA so hopefully that willcreate some more opportunities.”
