Fast and Furious fans are NOT happy over rumoured plans to bring Paul Walker’s character back

Fans think it would be "disrespectful" to bring his character back through CGI

Fast and Furious fans are not happy over rumoured plans to bring Paul Walker’s character back for the ninth film.

Paul’s character, Brian O’Connor, was written out of the film franchise after the actor tragically died in a car crash back in 2013.

The star passed away before they finished filming the seventh Fast and Furious film, and his final scenes were shot with the help of CGI and his brothers, Cody and Caleb.

Now, the ninth Fast and Furious instalment is currently in early production, and it’s believed they’re bringing back Paul’s character – who “moved away” with his wife Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster) at the end of the seventh movie.

Flm insider Daniel Richtman teased the news on Twitter, by tweeting: “Just got a new casting grid for something and with it some big news that are sure to be controversial. Not sure how I feel about it myself but we’ll see.”

In another tweet, he said: “It’s been long enough. They are bringing back Paul Walker’s character, Brian to FF9.”

Although some fans were delighted by the news, a lot of people were outraged by it.

One person tweeted: “It’s still so messed up to me that they’re bringing Paul Walker’s character back with CGI for Fast and Furious 9… like it’s honestly disrespectful to me like let the character be of Paul Walker isn’t here to do it.”

Another wrote: “This is not only unnecessary but absolutely distasteful and disgraceful.”

Another annoyed fan tweeted: “So they’re bringing Paul Walker back for Fast and Furious 9. You’re now gonna have to put a stip in your will not to be digitally reincarnated which is like something out of Black Mirror.”
