Brian Gleeson’s new film to premiere at Galway Film Fleadh

Brian Gleeson’s new film Tiger Raid is set to premiere in Ireland for the first time at the Galway Film Fleadh.

The action-thriller, based in the Middle East, also stars Damien Molony and Rory Fleck-Byrne – and will make it’s Irish debut at the popular film festival on July 7, ahead of the film’s official release later this year.

Co-written and directed by Simon Dixon, the film is based on Mick Donnellan’s play Radio Luxembourg.

The story follows two criminals, Joe (Brian Gleeson) and Paddy (Damien Molony), who attempt to kidnap a powerful man’s daughter.

Tiger Raid first received its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York earlier this year, where it received rave reviews.

“Tiger Raid is the revelation I’ve been waiting for from Tribeca 2016. Amazing performances, so much tension, so many surprises,” said Tasha Robinson from The Verge.

Meanwhile, Brian is also gearing up for the release of video game adaptation Assassin’s Creed, which he starred in alongside father Brendan, as well as the film’s lead Michael Fassbender.
